News

We would like to invite you to participate in a very special event. The family and friends of Michelle Rigney and Anna Marie Farro and the Melanoma Research Foundation will host the 1st Annual Miles for Melanoma of Delaware 5K Run / Walk to raise money for Melanoma research and promote awareness.  Michelle and Anna have both been diagnosed with Melanoma and have been fighting the disease through treatment.  We need your help!

This Run / Walk was created to educate others of Melanoma prevention, how to detect the signs of Melanoma, and advocacy.  All money raised will benefit the Melanoma Research Foundation.  Along with the Run / Walk there will be food, entertainment, activities, vendors and much more.

Here's a shout out to some local heroes, Josten Swingline, who will be providing musical entertainment at the Run/Walk event.  Check them out online at www.myspace.com/jostenswingline.

Kristen Bell, star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, drops in on Rach and Lara to share one of her favorite beauty products, Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer. "I have had some real botched self-tanner experiences," she admits. "But this isn't a self-tanner -- it has some sort of color activator and it has a lot of moisture in it. It's so good!" Kristen adds that for each person who takes the Glow in the Dark pledge at Jergens.com to stop bad tanning habits, the company will donate $1 to the Skin Cancer Foundation

Why We Walk

To EDUCATE the public on prevention, early detection and effective treatment of skin cancer, particularly melanoma
To RAISE FUNDS to support medical research on the causes, detection, treatment, management and eventually a cure for melanoma

All donations earned will go to the MELANOMA RESEARCH FOUNDATION www.melanoma.org
